I am newbie in Umbraco.

I know that can translate texts through dictionary or LANG. But I think it would be good practice to include the locations of text for each control separately, in an own folder.

What is the best practice to translate the controls without having to touch the dictionary or core lang files of Umbraco?

I am thinking about using Resources Files in this controls. It would be a good practice?

Hello Daycrom,
Thank you for downloading and installing my Umbraco site package, I hope it has been useful to help you learn Umbraco.

If you want to translate the usercontrols you can open & edit the .ascx files in Visual Studio and manually update the labels and text, but the best practise for a multi lingual site is to use the dictionary element of the umbraco system, so that the control will use the correct labels for the correct language.

If you need any more guidance please let me know.

Warren :)
