Massive deployment of CWS2 for corporate use.

At work, we have about 1400 staff.

We are requested to offer a solution to allow each staff to maintain a kind of a website for him, and allow him to publish certain details about himself.

As per my current and limited experience with Umbraco, and after using CWS2 and Blog Package, the only way I can think of is the following:

1. Prepare one root installation of Umbraco.

2. Install CWS2 and Blog Packages.

3. Deploy the Blog Package under CWS (I did this using IFRAME and it worked).

4. Create one Root Node for each Staff using the CWS2 Sample with the Blog Node under it.

So, the structure would look something like the following:

- Umbraco Content:
  - Tarek Website (CWS2)
    - About
    - Contact
    - News
    - Blog (Blog Package)
      - Blog Post
        - Comments...
    - ...others
  - Warren Website (CWS2)
    - About
    - Contact
    - News
    - Blog (Blog Package)
      - Blog Post
        - Comments...
    - ...others
  - .. other users ...

Of course, we need to provide an entry point for all users, to allow them to choose or search for the websites of the other users/staff.

Do you think that this is the right way ?

Any other suggestions ?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tarek you may be able to do that but I don't think it's the right way to approach it.

Would a user need an entire site, as I think this is overkill personally?

I think you should consider your OWN simplified version of the sites you want each user to have.

I recommend you search the forum and ask questions on the forum regarding profiles.
